Major League Baseball in the 1930’s

I have run some team stats of the 16 teams that were members of the Major Leagues in the 1930’s.  During the 1930’s the St. Louis Browns were definitely last in the American  League in attendance.  The Browns were also last in wins.  The New York Yankees had over 8 times the attendance that the Browns had.  The Cardinals were 12th in attendance for the decade of the 1930’s even though they were 3rd wins.  Unfortunately the Cubs were 2nd in wins and had 20 more wins than the Cardinals for the decade.

The fact that sticks out the most on all of the graphics is the way that both the batting average and home runs had a major decline among all teams in the National League from 1930 to 1931.  It is a sharp drop.
